Excitement at the 2023 South Queensland Big Camp Expo Booth
We marked an exciting milestone this year as we proudly debuted our booth at the 2023 South Queensland Big Camp. It was an endeavour that required meticulous planning and dedication, and we couldn’t have done it without the invaluable assistance of Jennifer Gracie, whose unwavering commitment helped us set up the booth on Friday.
The weekend started with a bustling Sabbath afternoon as the expo hall buzzed with activity. Crowds of people, eager to explore the offerings, flocked to our booth. Luckily, we had a team of dedicated individuals, including Gary Kent, Rina Maidment, Jennifer Gracie, and Julie-Anne Heise, to engage with the enthusiastic attendees throughout the event.
Our booth offers an array of engaging resources and experiences. Among our offerings, the QR-code cards stole the spotlight. People of all ages were captivated by the potential applications of these cards. Witnessing the Gympie church’s innovative approach of distributing them through letterboxing and at Sunday markets inspired many.
Hearing the positive feedback from those who stopped by our booth was heartwarming. Many shared their love for our program, appreciating the attention to detail and the compelling stories we feature. The anticipation for ‘Bubsie,’ our upcoming project, was palpable. Several church members even divulged that their congregations had already begun planning for its arrival.
What truly touched us was the evident enthusiasm and support from our booth’s visitors. They embraced our ministry’s work and were committed to sharing our valuable resources with others. This camaraderie and shared passion reaffirm our belief in the power of community and the impact we can make together.
